"Trouble of the GTO Variety"

Ok so since this next post is kinda boring were including history boys and girls... ok I'm using boys and girls lightly cause I am fairly certain my family is the only ones who read this... So because of the GTO (this is not a complaint) my Xterra was excelled from the garage. Since the GTO is longer we also had to clean the garage a little... "Trouble of the GTO Variety had been brewing at Pontiac since at least 1956" -Darwin Holmstrom In the mid 50s pontiac was failing and had no identity. Semon E. Knudsen son of former GM president, was charged with saving pontiac by any means necessary. Luck for GM Semon was a car lover and thus had an understanding of the market and the product. He surrounded him self with the people he need to accomplish his task, Estes of the Oldsmobile division who became head engineer, and DeLorean (yes that DeLorean, Doc Brown) of the failed Studebaker-Packard Corp. These three men would save Pontiac and make it thrive. Yes I know it failed a few years back but this was 50 some years ago...
